I was happy to see a reply from Dave (Top-Member #1) in this thread. His answer makes complete sense. I have been hanging around the 30th-spot in the Top-100 for many months now, but I still haven't added most of my cards to my collection on here yet. I was only in the "Top-10 for 30 days" points-list for a little over a month just over a year ago. I haven't been back on that list since then, but I continue to add scans and CL's to the DB when I can. It's enough to keep me moving up the Top-100 list but not enough to get me back onto the 30-day list. Also, "gb24" is constantly in the Top-10 for the month and has always been in the top-5 of the Top-100 list since I joined. "Collection" doesn't equal contribution to the DB though.

i had maintained my own excel file at one point too, but fell behind in keeping it updated so it would take a lot to get it up back to date- i couldn't imagine Dave maintaining a data base that large. it can be time consuming and depending how detailed or nerdy you get with it, it can def take a bit to maintain. Hence, this is one reason i keep asking for the ability to export the current collection to csv file.- at least you can filter and go from there. big reason being, not sure if after i'm dead i'm gone my family will keep anything i have- and its a lot easier when things are broken down and documented to sell or bring to a dealer and give them a list and show them the boxes whats there.

I have my two individual collections on excel but also have them on here (2 IDs). I like the trading here and can't see getting as many offers for trades if I don't list everything I have for trade and need on here. If it wasn't for that, I probably would not list it on here as it does take alot of time and effort to keep them updated.
