I am slowly gearing up to scan & post cards that I have, which are not on the site yet. I was wondering what the "rule" is for naming a set. For example, I have a Guelph Storm (OHL hockey) team set which has no official card production company listed (like Slapshot, Grandstand, etc.), but there are three sponsors' logos on the back. The cover card calls it a "Collector's Edition Set". So... would this be the "1998-99 Burger King / Domino's / Guelph Police Collector's Edition Guelph Storm" set (just kidding, sort of) or simply the "1998-99 Police Guelph Storm" set?
I also have a Toledo Storm (ECHL hockey) set which has Frito-Lay logos on front & back of each card, but the set came with a production company ad card for Raging Color Classics (which does not appear on any of the players' cards). I assume this would have to be called "1995-96 Frito-Lay Toledo Storm", since collectors who did not have the ad card would have no idea who produced them.
The main point of my question is: to what extent do sponsors and/or producers get "billing" on the site's official team set names?
Thanks in advance for your input. - Kurt
