I'm new around here...couple of questions on this part...
1) after submitting new images, how long is it befor they are typically added to the site? I added a bunch of PC stuff 3-4 days ago, and the images aren't up yet.
2) When I scanned my PC in, I didn't closely crop them...I left/leave some white space around the edges...is this OK for the image submissions here, or is closely cropped images preferred/required? An example of how mine are generally cropped is below

Tempt me with Tatis Jr or Bob Gibson...or REALLY rare Kansas State stuff.
When you first start submitting scans, it depends on how long before they first appear. There is a list of cards that need to be cropped, and once they are they will be added. Go to the "Things to do" at the bottom and then click on "crop help" to see all the scans that still need to be cropped.
That is a good scan, but it needs to be cropped as close to the card edges as possible. You don't want to see anything but the card showing. In this case, you wouldn't want anything around the edges that isn't gold.
Once you crop cards a few times, and once submitted they don't need anymore cropping, you should get permissions to submit cards immediately to the site.
Awesome, thanks for the tutorial! All I saw was "Will be uploaded on next site update" which is the message you get after submitting the image.
By the way, checked out your blog...I live in KC, just found a 1985 World Series trucker hat in an antique store last weekend for $10 :) Hopefully the offense wakes up tonight & starts putting some runs up on Nolasco!

Man what a finish to that game last night. I was listening to the game on the radio and right before Gordon hit the home run Denny Matthews said "If its your year, then you do something here, if it isn't you don't".
Cool on the trucker hat, I think I have one like that, it goes well with a program I have of the 85 series and a few I-70 Series shirts. I even have a plaque shaped like Missouri showing the 85 series. I've posted it elsewhere before, maybe I should use it as my pic on here for a while.
No problem on the tutorial. I had a lot of the same questions when I started.
It seems as though the "submit new front/back scan" message is not available for scans by someone else.

A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."
Ahhh, ok. I have level 6 permissions, but I don't even see level 7 as an option.

Same here, only up to level 6 permissions. No option for taking a test to earn Level 7.

I'm going to join in this discussion since I think this is related. I have evidently been given the ability to submit scans directly and was a little unfamiliar with the [Accept] button. I unfortunatly accepted a scan after rotating it and before cropping it. I've looked for the link that was alluded to in this topic but cannot find one that will allow me to correct this mistake. Is there a way to get access to replace a card that you've added yourself and if not can it be removed so that I can re-add it?
I just went to a card where I submitted the scans, and under the "Report a Price" link I see two links - "Submit a different front scan" and "Submit a different back scan". Make sure Editing is turned on. If you have that, resubmit the scan, if you can, crop it before submitting it.
