Are you asking about severely miscut cards or overcropped scans? Overcropped scans should be removed not tagged. Miscut cards that have portions of text, logos, key elements (not just a bit of border) missing should be removed. You may ask, "How can you tell the difference between an overcropped scan and a miscut card scan?" Proportion of image.
In the Crop Help area any card that is incomplete is marked as a Problem and rejected. Same criteria should be applied to those who can upload their own images.
I would suggest all look at the Scans Need Replacing area. You'll see a vast majority are low quality scans, overcropped scans, photographs, crooked scans, still in packaging, incomplete (folded cards).

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I wish when someone tagged a card as "Scan needs replacing" an explanation of why was included, e.g. "Front scan - pen marks", "Creased", "Poorly cropped", "Blurred back image" etc. I just looked at some of the cards inthe list and some of them, I would have no clue as to why it needs to be replaced.
I do agree that this feature should be for replacing cards that have flaws in the card itself and not because of the poor image, be it blurred, crooked or poorly cropped, uploaded by some members. Those should be removed, along with the points gained by those members adn then replaced by more conscientious members who then would be awarded the points. Of course that might shake up the leader board.

Couple of items:
If I go in and rescan a couple of the cards that are designated to be replaced and upload them, how does the site know that it needs to be taken off the list?? That list couId get ugly if it is not manged properly.
I think I know the answer but I guess I am curious to see others reasoning, but why are the 1997 Circa - Limited Access cards in the list?

They are folded cards. Folded cards need to be unfolded and the complete card scanned. If a member doesn't want to unfold then don't upload.

That is what I thought, but I was not going to assume anything.

C2C - I completely agree. However, when I have requested some to be removed, that could only happen if I was able to supply a new scan. :( Best I can do on here is tag it as it truly does need replacing.

Ok, so piggybacking onto this discussion from the other one on '69 Topps football, I found a scan of a card back with writing on it. I scanned a card clean of any markings, but couldn't figure out how to replace the scan. I sent a note to admin using the "see any inaccuracies" link. Anybody else help me out. I thought I had enough permissions to make corrections, but apparently not.

You need Level 7 permissions. If you Turn Editing On you should see the Submit a Different Scan options.

How do you get to permissions? I've forgotten.
