So my girlfriend's printer has a scanning feature attached to it, which is quite nice. This means I can finally start adding scans to the site! I did my first one tonight (Jarrod Saltalamacchia 2010 Topps Update - Front and Back). I received the notice that it will be reviewed and uploaded at the next site update. My question for the community is simple - how often is the site updated? Does anyone know? Does the admin go through each morning and check stuff like that? I want to add more and more, but I also want to be sure that I did it right and I don't want someone to have to go back through and fix 37 mistakes, rather than 1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Jason

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

It usually updates overnight for scans, weekly possibly, points can vary as well. If you know how to make a card straight, clear and cropped I am sure you will be fine. Also get the permission levels up and then you can upload without waiting, the key is to do well and Admin will know. =)

Not terribly worried about points, although I suppose they wouldn't be too bad! I think I got it alright; knowing that it should be available for my review tomorrow helps. I've gotten my permissions up to level 8, which is uploading your own scans, and if I've read it right I believe that you must show a series of good scans in order to avoid the review period. Thanks!

Perfect, you make about 10-20 good scans and I am sure Admin will make you happy for being patient.

The front scan was fine. The back needed a tiny crop on the left side.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Okay, that's good to know. I feel like white bordered cards would be more difficult to crop than borderless cards are, but that it could be something that comes easier with time.

I always put colored paper on my scanner lid so that I always have a contrasting color for cropping. Helps me alot.

Seems like a sensible idea and definitely one I will have to try going forward. Thanks!
