Site Forum

The site awards for 2017 are coming in January 2018.  Members will get to vote for winners in a bevy of categories and others will be selected based on contributions to the site.  January 2018 will also mark the 10th year anniversary of the site.  As a countdown and retrospective, each month we’ll review the stats and present the awards as they would have gone down (minus the categories based on features that weren’t available yet or the ones that require member voting).  Last month, we looked at 2013. This month, we look back at 2014.

2014 – A Look Back

Some of the new features added this year included the ability for members to create sets and process their own checklist submissions, editing of the PID, TID, and Note2 fields, adding single cards to sets, adding new names, assigning DOB’s to names, copying checklists from one set to another, submitting teams to multiple cards at once, copying teams from one set to another, forum for Random Card of the Day, forum post editing, forum search box, the “Sent Items” folder for the messaging system, card tagging, set, player, and team favoriting, the ability to upgrade to the premium/ad free version, member feedback area for trades, HOF designations and links within sets, the Publications area, the Collection Summary page, Wantlist and For Sale / Trade list matching by set, moving duplicates to For Sale / Trade list, and more stats and collection reports.

Awesome! I really look forward to these posts. 2014 is when most of the things we take for granted about the site were introduced, it seems. Some of them seem newer to me and some I thought were in place when I joined...interesting how memory works.

Wow, I joined in late October 2014. With only 9 weeks on the team, I had one Win and one Runner-up for 2014.

Loving these, especially since I joined in January 2014. 

One small suggestion for 2015 on: a rookie of the year award. 

Keep ‘me coming.

This was the year I joined as well!

I joined June of 2014, was a lurker until May of 2015 ........... work was SO slow that I had to find something to do with my idle hands, the wife kept slapping at them. =)
