Is there an easier way to do this? When I attempt, everything is lumped together per line of the PDF. If there were a gap between the  columns after transferring, it would be simple.

nope its a pain.. if you're trying to copy over your current collection.. click on the Collection- Add/Update link and highlight starting from the #1 card (not where the pic is) over and down .. you can paste that into excel. you'll have to high light the first column and remove hyperlinks, then adjust columns as needed. it be a lot easier if Admin <hint hint> would allow an export to a csv file or something .. an alternative option to pdf

That would work if your entire collection were on one page...  But it's not.

I really would love to see some form of option for something other than PDF as well.  I very much would like to backup my data for my collection.  I love this site and swear by it now.  But, if something should every happen to the site, I'd be out alot of data and it would have been lots of wasted setup work. 

Ideally, having a choice for downloading some form of delimited file would be great.  In the meantime, if anyone does know the secret of automatically populating Excel from a PDF, I'd love to know it.  I've tried all kinds of exporting methods out of Acrobat Pro to no avail.  Tried using Word as an intermediary to Excel, and that failed too.  It came close, but since card descriptions are variable length, I couldn't finish the task.   

Using the PDF download for my collection gives me 35+ files for a given sport, each with double digit pages, etc.  Doing anything by hand from PDF is just not feasible any longer.  If anyone is doing anything with success regarding data backup for your collections, please let me know.  Thanks!

At work, we use a program called Able2Extract.  It isn't cheap but it works beautifully.

Thanks. I have heard of that and other 3rd party methods (heard good things about that one in particular).  Would be nice to get a delimited file from the source, however.

I noticed that on my last attempt, there was a $ at the end of each column! I used that as a separator and it worked beautifully
