Birth Date - Player Information Entry?

I have started to add a couple missing player birth dates/places for some of the minor league hockey. I am guessing this may not matter, but before I got to far I figured I would check to be sure.... On the Country option/drop down - there is a choice for USA and a choice for United States. Is there a guideline as when to use either one or does it matter.... thanks.

I don't think it really matters. I always use the shorter one...USA. ------------------------------- *Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.*

Far more have been entered as USA. I wanted to use the full United States of America but not a single person agreed with me, so I used USA as well.

I do see one problem with "United States". Mexico is also an "United States". Estados Unidos Mexicanos is often translated as “United States of Mexico.” ------------------------------- *Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.*

I see what you mean there or where there would be a potential misunderstanding. If from the United States of America, USA it will be moving forward when I put them in.

Prefer USA myslef, and would love to see those United States listings get changed to USA for consistency. ------------------------------- -- Dan -- Note: Please see my profile for more info regarding trading (section updated 3/4/2024).
