Due to popular demand, an ad-free version of the site is now available. Visit the "Upgrade to Premium" link if you'd like to subscribe.
Some have also been asking how they can support the site. Visit the "Support" link for details.
Thanks,

Really, the ads were that much of an issue??? Have fun over on the "Premium" side of things, I am sticking with the ads.

Yes Grim, certain ads with animation were a HUGE issue on my computer. Made uploading scans far too time consuming. Maybe your computer is fancier than mine, but this is great news for me. grim25 wrote: Really, the ads were that much of an issue??? I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

With what this site offers I was willing to donate to help support the site no matter what. Im very willing to put $5-$10 of my monthly card budget to this site. Not only does the webhosting cost money (and increasingly so when more users use more bandwidth) but the admin continues to use his time to add features (most of which are suggested/requested by us) to the site to make it a better experience for the members.
So yeah.. absolutely willing to pay for what this site offers and to see it continue to grow and thrive. grim25 wrote: Really, the ads were that much of an issue??? Have fun over on the "Premium" side of things, I am sticking with the ads.

I absolutely agree with you Ox, the Admin on this site rocks and webhosting goes up, trust me I know from personal and professional experience. But now Admin not only has to deal with the day to day website, ad placement, etc... but now they are going to have to deal with payments from members and deal with virtually a second website customization.

But do we really know that Admin is really just one person? I've always assumed there are at least three of them, though I have nothing to base that on.

It seems to be one of the great mysteries of the site. I even kinda asked in a private message once and didnt get an answer lol.
But whether its one or 3 or 30 he/she/they are still putting forth effort on their own time to add features to the site, answer messages, fix mistakes, add information etc etc.

Ok then, so I figured I would go for the premium no-ad version and enjoy my favorite site ad free....sent my $ and logged out and back in, and whaaa? Still getting ads. Is there something I'm missing here? Anyone else?

It wasnt instant for me either. I *think* the admin needs to activate it. I could be wrong though
