For example, trying to get $200 for the 1982 Topps Ozzie Smith. There is a REAL graded one on ebay right now - buy it now - for $14.99 (+ $3 shipping). Yours isn't even graded.
Someone else has the entire Padres team set (including the Ozzie) for $0.99 (+ $3.99 shipping).
Pick up a Beckett - books at $2.50.
Do some research. That just took about 2 minutes - and most of the time was spent typing this up! Sheesh.

...but do those other Ozzie Smith cards have a Jordan "jersey patch" stapled to the back? I think not...

I'd rather see ethical listings with atrocious grammar than grammatically correct posts that are fraudulent.

The ONLY reason he changed the title of the Ozzie Smith card was because I called him out on it on eBay. I asked him to provide the code so I could authenticate the card on the grading site. I got the same response about his fiance so at least the story is consistant. When I asked him about the codes to authenticate two of his other overpriced auctions, he ignored me. I think he realized I was calling him out for saying things were graded when in fact it was obvious from the picture posted they weren't. I love how he came back on here and "tried" to convince us about how honest he is and stuff. This is why I ONLY purchase from either COMC or other such reputable places.

You are still way overpriced on your items. Do you NOT see that? $1,000 for the 89 Bowman Griffey? You're only about $994 too high on that one. I can do this with EVERY listing of yours.
Do your research.
If you truly want to "fix your fiance's mistakes", pull the listings. Figure out the right prices, and relist them.
And don't steal other people's listings.

Just my two cents worth.
First off most of the opening prices are BEYOND ridiculous. $800 for the '85 Tom Seaver titled as being PSA 5 but shown in a 9 pocket sheet. There are several available for $2 or less some with FREE SHIPPING. OK so those are not graded, but this one apparently has been taken out of if's PSA graded tomb so condition is irrelevant. What is POP? the only prices I see that are reasonable are some of the $10 auctions. $300 for a team set from 2010 Topps factory set? Wow with $8.65 shipping? What is that sent in a stainless steel safe for $8 shipping? 30 copies of the team? How bout them 2010 Royals?
I am a "cheap skate" low-balling collector who rarely even thinks of paying more than $50 for ANY CARD. But I realize there are some few cards out there that are "worth" $100s or maybe even $1,000s. In my book however there are rarely any modern cards (especially 5 years and newer) that are even close to being worth over $1,000. If I had my way the only cards worth more than $1,000 would have to be VINTAGE made BEFORE 1970. Even then it would have to be a huge star or HOFer. Graded a 8.5+ and still in its grading tomb would be a plus.
Selling obviously fake cards (like the Jordan patch that has been talked to death about on this thread) is a quick way to be labeled as a scam artist. Especially with little or no description in the auction listing. No matter the intent. Even grandma selling stuff from her attic before kicking the bucket would be considered a scammer if she tried selling a fake card with little or now description.

I collect: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Mostly Vintage pre1980, My Homie teams - Washington/Baltimore Teams Senators (Twins, Rangers), Expos/Nationals, Redskins, Capitals, Bullets/Wizards - HOFers - Non-sport (mostly TV shows and movies). My Trade List is very much a work in progress CaptKirk42s Trading Card Blog Curly W Cards Strive For '65 YouTube klandersen42
