Card Identification Forum

I've got this Mark Grace Lincoln Mercury card in my collection. Can't remember where or when it was acquired. I've seen it listed 2 other places but no clue as to what it's from. One site that shows it is a Grace "virtual museum" site, listed in the middle of the 8th rows of oddball Grace cards. http://www.markgrace.com/museum/oddball.html  The other mentions it as a possible team issued release. He has it as his #2 favorite here https://wrigleyrosterjenga.blogspot.com/2017/05/the-best-of-best-pt-2-grace-yourselves.html. I'd like to add it to the database if I can get details. Anyone? 

Looks like one of those cards players have to sign to send to fans that request an autograph - or something like that. Maybe it was an in-store signing thing and there were extras. (I know I have attended player signings at car dealerships in the past.)

From that blog listing where the guy got it from a sale at the stadium (at least that is what I think he means by saying the "Wrigley garage sale") it sounds like it was part of a Stadium Give away set. 

These cards were issued in 2000 Cubs Quarterly Magazines, in 9-card panels.  So there were 36 total cards that year, but each issue had a different sponsor and design.  I have two of the issues I can dig out and get the 18 cards from, and might be able to do a full 36 card checklist with a little digging.  The magazines they appeared in were:

April/May 2000, Vol 19 No. 1 (Don Baylor cover)

May/June 2000, Vol 19 No. 2 (Mark Grace cover)

July/August 2000, Vol 19 No. 3 (Kerry Wood cover)

August/September 2000 Vol 19 No 4 (Sammy Sosa cover)
