So I picked up this card and about 8 others like it the other day from a local shop. I apoloigize for such a blurry scan as my scanner does not like the plastic case that the cards came in. I have looked around and I have had mixed results on my finds. Does anyone know if they were orginally packaged like this?? When I looked at the checklist, there are a couple of scans there, but cannot tell if they cropped out the plastic case or if they are just loose. Thoughts on how to add it to the database, plastic case or cropped out??
Thanks everyone,

Per the Beckett description of these:
"Issued in retail only blister packs, each card was slabbed by SCD Authentic and labeled as "Untouched." Packs contained one game-used jersey card or signed card and carried an initial SRP of $19.99. Signed cards were issued for the following players: Steve Young, Warren Moon, Jake Plummer, Aaron Brooks, and John Elway."
I think the scans should be added with the case since that is the only way they were released.

Nice find, spazmatastic, thanks for the info. Now to figure out how to scan it without being so blurry.

You are welcome. The cards are encased and therefore will be blurry, especially since TCDB lowered the upload scan-size. Just do the best you can and add everything you have. I really wish TCDB didn't have to lower the scan-size limit. I used to scan everything at 600 dpi and now I can only do 200 dpi to upload here. I understand why the reduction happened, but I still don't like it.

Yeah I realized that last week as well, when was the reducion? I had to lower mine all the way down to 200 DPI as well. Makes it a bit tougher for sure.

It happened sometime in early December.

Yeah, at first I was at a loss when my scans were being rejected for size. Took awhile to realize the limits were reduced. Now the highest resolution I can scan at is 250 dpi.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I will say that uploading scans is a lot quicker for me now since the change!

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
