Card Identification Forum

Can someone tell me about this card. I can't find it anywhere. It has the 1995-1996 hoops design, but not listed as an insert. Is this something Alonzo did independently. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If sohow did they get Mourning to sign a Hoops card?

The Mourning cards could've been distributed anywhere. Maybe a home shopping network?

I would want to see another independent source that shows that COA paired with the card in question.  Just because they are shown together in one auction doesn't mean they belong together.  I have a few COAs around here somewhere that I have because they came paired with the wrong item.

Unless someone knows of another association between Fleer/Skybox and Classic/Score Board, I suspect that those two items don't go together.

Towards the end of their existence, Scoreboard did go the way of buying third-party cards and getting them signed for their own distribution. Because of the nature of them, they are considered "after-market alterations" for TCDB purposes, and are, therefore, not listable here.

Ok.

So basically Scoreboard bought 996 Alonzo Mourning hoops cards and had him sign and number them for sale within their company, or on HSN. If that was the case shouldn't there have been some lawsuits by Hoops and NBA players association.
