Hi,
I have this 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth #181 RC reprint. I wish to identify what reprint set this is from because I have seen several for sale on ebay but there is little information.

When you go to the player's page you can choose filter and then select a card number. From tehre you'll see that there a couple of legit RP set for this card. This one seems to be from the 1983 Galasso set. There is the possibility that it is an unauthorized RP (i.e. homemade). eBay is ripe with these illegal cards espceially in today's booming market. And people are paying crazy prices for them.....

Thank you for the reply. It's definitely possible this card may be one of those illegal reproductions as the cursive font printed signature across it does not seem to be present in the legitimate reprints. I'm not sure how I came across the card since I found it while digging through old card boxes, but I'll just hold on to it I suppose.

Maybe it's the real thing, a signed '33 Goudy Ruth!

Definitely not the real thing as the signature ends abruptly at the border.
Also, absolutely no reprint marking on the card anywhere. So no idea where it came from (and therefore, cannot be listed here).

It is a counterfeit card, not a reprint.

Do you want to prove it, or at least back up your statement?! I'm just asking since you just joined the site this year and you didn't give any details as to WHY it's fake. Just a test from a veteran site member and a collector for over 35 years.

If it was a legitimate reprint it would be identified as such. No such reprint markings, so therefore it is counterfeit pr fake, whatever you want to call it. Let me know when you have been collecting for fifty years like me.
