This card has the same number us-117 as the John Lackey card but the only variation listed is the sabermetrics version

The card is incorrectly listed in the database. It's listed as card #US-21. Incorrectly numbered cards should be listed by the number on the back of the card. It should be listed as US-117 (the number on the card) with an UER: "should be card #US-21".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Yes, there were 2 cards that were misnumbered inthe 2014 Topps Update set. The checklist here is showing what Topps' checklists (on card) show. TCDB should probably be updated to show reality. Please contact Admin so that it is done correctly. I'd hate to see people's collections get discombobulated.

1986 Topps is listed the same way. Bobby Wine is listed as #51 (where he was supposed to be) even though he has 57 on the back. Bob Rodgers is listed as 171, even though he has 141 on the back.

A man has to have goals — for a day, for a lifetime — and that was mine, to have people say, "There goes Ted Williams, the greatest hitter who ever lived."

1986 Topps was my first thought too. Frustrating when this happens. I'm kind of surprised it happened on such a recent set. I hadn't noticed this on the 2014 update set yet.
