Which way would be more 'correct' uploaded scans? In the slab or cropped so just the card shows? Others I have loaded I have cropped the slab out to just show the card itself but I have seen some uploads with the slab. Any certain way preferred?

Cropped. The plastic case is not a card or part of the card. It's just a means to protect the card. Looks like a progressive proof of the 1971 Topps Game Willie Wood.

To me if the card is a unique truly 1 of 1 card with no others of its kind in the world. But if it is just a slabbed version of a card that has a regular raw version then why?
I did a quick ID check and it looks like the card you have pictured is likely a color testing proof card of the 1971 Topps Football Game Insert #22 Willie Wood Packers. How many color test cards do they (did they) produce? That is something I personally don't know. Do they only do one test? 100? and if so how many of those test cards got saved. I know for the "Topps Vault" the cards that Topps sells on Ebay are usually the sample cards they had kept in their archives, for which they would save one of each card from a set, they might have saved some of the test cards in the same kind of manner. The key in my opinion would be how many print tests did they do and what percentage of the cards from those tests did they actually save?

Or OK what C2 said. Cropped NO slab.

Multiple proofs are done. They run a batch, make color (ink) and alignment adjustments. Run them again until they get it right. I doubt they got it right the first time every time. Of course, maybe they only saved the "correct" proof sheet and destroyed the others. I just wonder why they saved proof sheets once they're happy with the adjustments. Especially for 45 years.
And to be cynical...they have the original plates. They can print "originals" any time they want.

My scanner has no trouble. Depends on the scanning techology used.

WOW that is fantastic, What are you using? I have a brand new brother all-in-one. The scanner is on top with a lid like any other one I have ever seen so when I try to scan a slab the lid does not close properly, i have tried covering it with a black towel, colored paper, etc and no luck. Here are the settings I have :
jpeg format, medium size, 400x400, 24 bit color, brightness @ zero, contrast @ zero and set for 8.5x11. Any tips?

Mine's a Canon Pixma MP990. Kind of high-end. It also has built-in slide/transparency and negative scanning capabilities. The main reason I bought it. The lid hinges also rise/adjust to keep the lid level on thick items.

My hinges do that as well but I do not think of mine as "high-end" lol, its your Staples Special of the week more like. Its a Brother MFC-J4620DW, stayed with this brand as the app works slick with our iDevices. I can print something off my phone out in the shop if need be ..... thats nice. Wonder if I up my dpi that would help but when I do that my file size is too big for the DB? Is there a magic combination that you ahve figured out?
