Okay I was trying to complete the set and received a whole bunch of cards like this one. There is one problem. According to every place I look including here they say these should be autographed but as you can tell this card is not autographed. Is this an error or is this 2005 Donruss Elite Turn of the Century Parallel?
thank you so much!! ~Chris

The turn of the century parallel states it on the front and is SN500. Strange part is, I can't find a Ruiz that isn't supposed to be SN'ed. I'm not sure what you have, but I know what you don't have. :)

Thank you for your insight. It is a mind boggling card. Hopefully someone else can give me more information. I consider myself a card expert but this has me stumped. To be honest I did not even think it was the turn of the century parallel either. I was just giving ideas.

Extensive searches have garnered nothing. Does anyone know if they had a Retail issue? Or a Walmart/Target exclusive issue? Or something like that.

i've been looking around but havent been able to find a non-SN or Auto version. Baseballpedia had a small write up on the Aspirations and Status version of it, but so far everything i seen had a SN or auto on it

Thank you all for the input. This was a retail exclusive set. Like I said I have a bunch of these cards that have no serial # of auto. More so I have a few of the "legends" without serial #s. Last night I thought of a theory...after 2005 Donruss lost their license to manufacture cards depicting players on Major League 40 man rosters. May these cards I have were made late in the production cycle and thus Donruss had no autograph stickers and/or the ability to serialize cards? Just an idea. What do you guys think?

If it was a Retail issue then it makes sense. Retail versions are usually plain, no frills, no autographs, no SNs. Whereas Hobby versions have all the bells and whistles.
How many cards do you have? Are all the cards that should have autographs and/or SNs missing them? If so, I'd say there was a Retail parallel set issued. And it should be added to the Parallels.

I have 20 or so. The thing is the entire set was retail only. Never once being a hobby variety.

Not exactly how it works. Licenses are multiple year contracts. When a card company "loses" their license, it means it won't be renewed at the end of the contract. For instance, Topps "lost" its football license in 2014 when the NFL and NFLPA decided they wouldn't renew the agreement when it expires at the end of 2016.
