Sorry, it is just the confused old man again. Is this card considered a error or variation because it does not have a card number ? The Data Base and Beckett both list it as card # 227 in the " 2008 Topps Chrome Set ", is that the correct listing? Thanks again. Paul...

But it is numbered 227 in the orange circle...not well but I can see it in the scan.

I see "227" in the orange circle. The number and circle color are very close in color. Not to get too personal but on a serious note, if you actually can't see the number it could be a case of partial colorblindness (protanomaly).
