I just came across and unopened Cecil Fielder SportsDent baseball card set. It has a toothbrush, toothbrush holder that plays "Take Me Out To The Ballgame", and it has a Cecil Fielder baseball card. I cannot find anything about this anywhere online.
Can anyone help me? Is is rare? Valuable? Sought after?
Thank you in advance,
Tim

I would say only Fielder fan would want the whole set. Depends if his card has a team noted, then maybe a Tigers or Blue Jays fan might want the card.

Somebody uploaded an incomplete checklist. Don't know if there are any more cards in the set.
Numerous news articles state Fielder teamed up with Andre Dawson of the Boston Red Sox and former Montreal Expo Warren Cromartie to form the company SportsDent. So maybe there's also a Cromartie Bat-A-Brush.
Love this quote from the news article, ""I always have to yell at Prince to get in there and do what he has to do. I know mothers and fathers all across the country have the same problem."

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Does anyone think it has any value? Seems to be pretty rare... not that that makes it valuable...

Value on something like that would be extremely difficult to guess. Like someone said if there is a big Fielder collector or possibly Tigers collector then maybe. If you find the right person that is passionate about both Fielder and teeth brushing you may have struck gold. One advantage is that many of those produced may have already been used for brushing teeth. Still, I doubt these are in huge demand. Of course everything can be of value if you find a diehard collector with a lot of disposable income.

The best way to assess value would be to ask yourself, "How much would I pay if that card was my absolute, all-time favorite player?"

Though I would love to have it in my Fielder collection, I would not pay more than a couple of bucks for it. It came out in 1993 and probably could be found at $ stores by the case load. Because it was during the high of collecting, I am sure some "investors" bought those cases thinking they would make their retirement fortune from them. There were probably millions produced and no doubt can now be found at flea markets especially around the Detroit area. Maybe in 50 years, when there is only the odd one left on the market for sale, the value might go up to $10 but never much higher. It is not like it is a Mantle or Robinson item.
Something like my commemorative Cal Ripken Ironman Coca-cola bottle in a tube (which I also got at a flea market). Just my opinion.

I would get the toothbrush graded

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
