I have several football cards from the 1986 McDonald's set. The cards I have do not have the game piece on the bottom (see scans). I notice that the ones listed here have a game piece on the bottom.

Are the cards I have incomplete? Should I scan the images and add them to the database or do we only the cards with the game piece attached?

Also, in reviewing the checklist for the 1986 All-Star set I noticed that the checklist is numbered by the player's jersey number. Shouldn't the cards be listed as NNO since the cards themselves are not numbered?

Yes, without the tab they are incomplete for our database. The various colored tabs are listed as parallels. It looks like the Green tabs are listed as the base set.
And yes, they are all NNO. Jersey numbers should not be used as card numbers.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

There is no need for a "with tab" listing and a "without tab" listing? Or should there be something added to comments or release notes section about the chances of cards not having the game peices anymore. Just making sure all the bases are covered. Or just overthinking things, like normal. =)

Overthinking. There's no value added to a "without tab". I can already see the card "without tab" by placing my hand over the tabbed card image. If they were also issued without tabs, that'd be a different story. And you kinda under thought it. How about "with tab scratched"? Also, "Tabs" and "Tabs Scratched" as separate listings?
Many cards could have similar categories. "Scratched" and "Unscratched", "Rubbed" and "Unrubbed", "Protective Film" and "Protective Film Removed",

Most of them are common enough that they should have the tabs IMO.
BTW I hate these things with them being oversized.

Thanks for the clarification. I won't upload scans. I also don't like them. They don't fit anywhere and the cardstock they're printed on is flimsy. I'll stick them in my oddball box and place them on my for sale/trade list with the comment "tab removed".

The 1950s Red Man tobacco cards (1952 to 1955) should be treated the same way. Most of the scans for them seem to be without tabs on the front, many of the 52, and 55 the backs are the full complete backs. Yes Yes I know they are harder to find with the tabs, but it is NOT as impossible as earlier tobacco issues are, especially with today's internet. They were issued with the tabs just as these McDonalds cards were released with the tabs. In the Red Man case the backs were the same for each card in their sets, with each year being slightly different depending on what that year's mail-in deal was.
