I’ve wondered about this for several years and haven’t come across any explanations. Was Walmart doing exclusives way back in the 90’s?

I had TSC football cards with a similar foil "variation" on the Jaguars & Panthers inaugural-season subsets. It appears that the foiling had a color spectrum that was not evenly divisible over the card widths, so the areas of each color could fall in different places. I wouldn't classify these as variants, since it is the same type of foiling & could have been printed in numerous color shifts.
As I recall, the Stadium Club hockey set from that year had "Rookie" foiled subset cards with a similarly shifting purple/red foil.
Obviously, to a team-collector or player-collector, these slight variations may be desirable - but they are all the same card.

It is not a variant, parallel, or anything else. They are the same card with the foil laid differently (as SaintOrm said). The key is the line under his name. The colors sync up to the words. That specific set was not sold in stores. It was a Super Team redemption set. If you had the Braves Super Team card, you could redeem it for the complete Stadium Club set with the World Series logo on it. Most cards have a gold logo, but the EC cards have a silver WS logo and different foil.

Glad to help. SaintOrm had the right answer, but being able to confirm that in the correct sport is important sometimes. I hope the extra info helped you some too (now or in the future).
