I've been tossing this idea around in my head. I'm currently in a Dynasty League on MyFantasyLeague.com, a Yahoo league at work, an ESPN league with friends at home (PA), and a college football individual player league that my boys, brother, Dad, and uncle do on paper. I can't get enough and since I prefer Yahoo, I was going to see if there was enough interest to start up a league for TCDB members only. I'd like a 10-12 player league, but it there's more interest, I can create 2 leagues. Let me know and we'll go from there. Thanks.

I'd be interested in an NFL Fantasy game here, but it depends on how it's done. The only NFL fantasy game I currently play is the U-pick-em game where you pick which teams will win their games each week. I'm a 2-time U-pick-em weekly winner and a 1-time league winner. I don't play many fantasy games, but the ones I do play are about teams winning/losing or picking specific NASCAR drivers. I don't like games where you trade players or pick several different players every week b/c that just gets too tedious. That's my personal preference though. Go for it and see who's interested in playing. You need to have a plan though.
I play 3 NASCAR fantasy games right now and have done all of them for many years now. I actually run one of the games in which I play (now in it's 5th year on Beckett). All 3 NASCAR games I play have a different setup. One is the U-pick-em game where you pick who you think will be the Top-10 Drivers to finish the race. You get points per finishing position and bonus points for someone finishing in the exact position where you picked them. The 2nd game (on NUTS) covers all 3 of the top series' (CWTS, NXS, MENCS) and you get the points that each driver gains for that race and combine them for the week's total. My game is the simplest of all, but seems to be the most fun for everyone playing it. Mine is only for the Cup Series and everyone picks a single driver for each of the Cup races. Everyone gets the points gained by the driver they picked for that race and it is added to their total points for the season. My game is the ONLY one that gives prizes to everyone playing! Prizes are donated by the players, but donations aren't necessary to play the game. The only year that I won (so far), my prize was a Mark Martin 4x MEM SN10 card!!! My people donate great prizes! AND the prizes go straight from the donor to the winner. I am the middle man, but only in providing winning addresses to the donors. The only cards I touch are my donations and the cards I win. Everyone playing has fun and we all get to pick a prize at the end of the season. Even as dead as the Beckett Forums have been since before 2014, my game in the Racing Forum has had no less than 9 members for every season since then. I'd say it's been very successful since it runs on the Beckett Forum and Beckett couldn't care less about Racing cards or their customers. It's almost to the point that Beckett should pay ME money for keeping people coming back to their site! I'm the only thing keeping the Racing Forum alive right now (and for the past couple of years at least). Maybe I should invest in my own website?!
Oops, that was a tangent. James, I would be interested in hearing your idea for an NFL fantasy game here.

I do play with the individual players with a draft, trades, free agents, waiver wires, etc. For football, it's nowhere near as tedious as baseball. I've been in an NL-only baseball league for about 10 years now on Yahoo. Quite fun, but a daily thing. In a football league with 12 teams, if the number of bench players is relatively large, there isn't a huge amount of shuffling going on, but you do have to peak at it at least once a week. I don't spend a huge amount of time on it. I started playing in a league with my softball buddies back in PA in the 90s. The league manager did everything on paper at first, where everyone had to call (before we all had cell phones) their lineup in every Sunday morning. We finally got smart and purchased a ff program where he could plug the players in and it would calculate the scores. Then the online stuff got big. Been playing ever since. My wife and sister in-law even started playing in a league last year, she is a huge football fan though which makes it easier. She won too, so she'll be back. The college league I play in is really interesting with individual players. The free agent pool is endless obviously. It helps with the dynastly NFL league though because then I know all the rookies coming in front and back.
I would just set up a league on Yahoo with number of teams, position limits, scoring system, etc. Plan an online live draft and after that the site pretty much takes care of itself and all you have to worry about pretty much is your own players. I have run a number of leagues in the past this way and run the league I started 11 years ago at work. At first I struggled to fill the 12 slots, now I have a waiting list because during the season that's all everyone talks about at work at the water cooler, especially on Monday and Tuesday mornings. There is money involved in that one. I do like the idea of the winner getting cards, would certainly be appropriate. It makes Sundays so much more interesting and fun. Why else would I watch a Thursday night game between Indianapolis and Tampa Bay unless I had a player going.
To all who are interested, after I get enough, I'll ask for email addresses and shoot out league invites (no other email shenanigans, I promise). If you've never done it before, it's pretty simple. It tells you what to do and when to do it.

Played my first fantasy football league with some buddies last year and will be playing again this year (after finishing third of 12!).
I'm not a fan of Yahoo's app for fantasy baseball and would prefer ESPN, but I know we are all different and there are others who feel the exact same way.
Short answer, yeah, I will always try and be involved with TCDB leagues and fun, so you could count me in!

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

Even though I'll probably have no time, and my NFL knowledge is very limited (although I probably know more than I make it sound), I'll play - IF, giant IF, you're at an odd number and need someone to make the league number even. But if it's already an even number, I don't need to be a part of it. I'll do it if you need the extra team.

I’ll be in. I’m the best at hockey, and may start a League here if we get enough interest.

I'd be in. Are you thinking of a redraft league or a dynasty?
