I need to see what races I can actually watch this week, but did see next week USA Network is showing a couple ARCA races on a Friday afternoon. I assume they are replays, but racing is racing, and I haven't got to see ARCA in a few years, so that's a start. I'm just happy racing season has finally started.

There are 42 cars trying to get into the D500. So 2 of them will go home without making the race. It will be interesting to see which 2 of the extra 6 cars doesn't make it into the race. I can't wait to see what happens this week. I'm also happy that "Speedweeks" is now just Daytona Week. The only sporting events getting the same attention from me this week are ACC Basketball games. NASCAR is what I've been waiting for since New Year's Day though!

So 2 of them will go home without making the race.
So we have 6 cars that actually have to push it during qualifying and duels....
Wonder the odds of all of them ending up in the same duel.....

They should be given their own duel....
That way cars guarenteed to make the race won't be able to
interfere (by involving them in a crash etc)......

Still don't like the charter system, but I don't see why if 42 cars enter, why they can't make an exemption for a few of the big races to allow all 42 to compete.

The pit boxes are there, no reason not to....
Several tracks, Daytona may be one that have 44 boxes......

I 100% agree. I remeber they brought in the Charters cause Gordon & Johnson had struggled to qualify for a couple races so they changed the rules to make sure the "TOP" teams get in. Problem is it isnt the Multi million dollar teams that need the help its the smll temas. But i have always said. If you arent he top 4-42 cars then you shouldt be there.
I also love that all 42 teams will have 1 car each, So maybe a few of these guys wont take stupid risks and take out a few front runners. But that is still to be seen.

All of the tracks from the 90s have at least 43 pit spots.
