After suffering through that 'opening ceremony', we finally have 91% of the WC tournament set.

How do feel about the first round match-ups? Groups E and H seem the toughest for now, although the start is another 7 1/2 months away.

Hopefully those USA guys can put together a winning streak and escape their group unscathed.

I watch the WC, but its not like I am a hardcore fan who cares about everything about it. Having said that, Opening Day is in 6 days...

It turned out pretty cool . Hopefully Scotland can win thier playoff and get in that Group B. Lewandowski Is my favorite player so maybe Poland can smash their group opponents. But this is the last good World Cup because it is expanding to 48 nations for the next time. That is way too many . It will be watered down . There are already teams that shouldnt be there at 32. 

Honestly, if Wales gets through or even Ukraine, the group the US is in will be every bit the "group of death" as any other group...at least if we go by the FIFA world rankings. It's a tough draw for the US in my opinion. The other problem is that assuming the US find their way out of the group, I'd anticipate them finishing behind England, which means the Netherlands would be waiting in the round of 16. Lots of things can happen in the 7+ months before the start of the tournament...hopefully US can stay healthy and put a strong team forward in November!

Yep! Going to be a good testing ground for this very young + very promising USMNT. If there's a German word that means excitement  and optimism mixed with a sense of dread, this is the moment for it.

Being Canadian I was hoping for a better (easier) group than we ended up with. Belgium with the 2 Hazard brothers, the red headed David De Bruyne, Lukaku and his brother, maybe the best goalkeeper in Courtois, Mertens, Axel Witsel etc. etc. Not much of a chance aginst them. Croatia won't be any easier with Modric in the mid-field, Perisic up front and Vida and Lovrenholding the back line. Morocco might be our best shot at getting a positive result ... maybe?

Yep -- don't envy that draw at all! That being said, Canada wasn't exactly the favorite to win CONCACAF going in...you guys will make it interesting.
