Wikipedia has a page listing the Topps All-Star Rookie teams throughout the years.
Which year is your favorite? For me, I think 2012 would come out on top of a tournament if all of these years/teams played each other. The combination of young Bryce Harper and young Mike Trout, plus a young Yu Darvish pitching, would be tough to beat:
- Wilin Rosario, C, Colorado Rockies
- Anthony Rizzo, 1B, Chicago Cubs
- Steve Lombardozzi Jr., 2B, Washington Nationals
- Todd Frazier, 3B, Cincinnati Reds
- Zack Cozart, SS, Cincinnati Reds
- Yoenis Céspedes, OF, Oakland Athletics
- Bryce Harper, OF, Washington Nationals
- Mike Trout, OF, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim
- Yu Darvish, RHP, Texas Rangers
- Wade Miley, LHP, Arizona Diamondbacks
- Addison Reed, RP, Chicago White Sox

2012 is a good pick but I'd put my money on the 2001 team. A young Albert Pujols, Ichiro, Adam Dunn, Jimmy Rollins at SS. Then you have Roy Oswalt and CC Sabathia pitching....

2001 is the best pick and 2012 is great as well.
But look out for that 2019 offense...
Pete Alonso
Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Fernando Tatis Jr.
Yordan Alvarez
Bryan Reynolds and Will Smith are solid as well...however there aren't many good pitchers although Soroka was good before injuries ruined his carreer.

Both 2001 and 2012 are very strong, but in time maybe the 2018 class (Acuna, Soto, Gleyber, Buehler and Ohtani) will come out ahead.

2001 is an awesome pick. They'd be tough to beat.

2001 immediately came to mind. There are a few decent years in the 60s but they usually have multiple HOFers but the pitching is weak.

I'd toss an honorable mention to '06 but agree with the other '01 & '12.
2006
- Russell Martin, C, Los Angeles Dodgers
- Prince Fielder, 1B, Milwaukee Brewers (unanimous selection)
- Dan Uggla, 2B, Florida Marlins (unanimous selection)
- Ryan Zimmerman, 3B, Washington Nationals (unanimous selection)
- Hanley Ramírez, SS, Florida Marlins (unanimous selection)
- Melky Cabrera, OF, New York Yankees
- Andre Ethier, OF, Los Angeles Dodgers
- Nick Markakis, OF, Baltimore Orioles
- Justin Verlander, RHP, Detroit Tigers
- Francisco Liriano, LHP, Minnesota Twins

My pick will be the 1967 class. You had two HOF's, and three players that had very good careers.
1967
- Dick Dietz, C, San Francisco Giants
- Lee May, 1B, Cincinnati Reds
- Rod Carew, 2B, Minnesota Twins †
- Bobby Etheridge, 3B, San Francisco Giants
- Tim Cullen, SS, Washington Senators
- Rick Monday, OF, Oakland Athletics
- Reggie Smith, OF, Boston Red Sox
- Walt Williams, OF Chicago White Sox
- Dick Hughes, RHP, St. Louis Cardinals
- Tom Seaver, RHP, New York Mets †
- Rich Nye, LHP, Chicago Cubs

I love this topic. Reviewing that list, it is interesting to see people on the list like Danny Ainge. It's also interesting to see people who have won it twice like Cal Ripken, Jr. and Ryan Mountcastle. Maybe Topps likes the Orioles? Too bad Cal never had a trophy on any of his cards. I always loved the little trophy on the cards and Topps sometimes issues a card it the trophy and sometimes not which has been frustrating.
