Normally the SSP photo variations annoy me (as do the Texas Rangers for that matter), but I could get behind one for the Rougned Odor

I agree that would be a really cool SSP card but I doubt Topps or MLB would want this image on a card promoting violence.

I'm amazed he still has his fielding glove on.

I completely understand it. I remember at one point in my life, my glove was such an extension of me that I literally could pick up loose coins with my glove on. (I can barely do it barehanded now!)

If Bartolo Colon could get 8K+ copies, then I bet this image would double that.

His first HR, his age, being a pitcher, and he's got a lot of fans, makes for a better card IMO. Wish I had got in on that one, no way I'm paying what they are going for on eBay right now. Nobody can say his at bats aren't comical at least most of the time.
Though I guess a good fight would make for some decent sales too. Doubt the MLB wants to promote violence in such a manner, plus it's against the rules.

I don't think MLB will have much trouble enforcing the slide rule at 2B anymore after this event. It's too bad that Ruben Tejada had to miss out on probably his only opportunity to ever play in a World Series before this rule was enacted. Odor just ensured that it would now be enforced. "Roughneck Odour, The Enforcer". I don't think anyone will be calling him stinky anytime soon.

Tejada is a Cardinal now. If he sticks around, he may go to several World Series.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
