I swear this photo exists of runningback Dickie Post while with the Chargers which shows him on a run stepping on the face of a would-be tackler. 

It may have been from a Sport Magazine issue or an old Pro Football Weekly. 

Just looking for evidence.

I did a quick search but could not find anything. Is he literally stepping on someone's head/face or that is just what you recall? Also, do you know black/white or colored photo?

I'm 99% sure that's IT! Before returning to the site I began searching again and was beginning to think it may have been Keith Lincoln who also wore #22 for the Chargers, but that's clearly Post and it sure looks like it. I don't recall ever reading this periodical you found, and I do recall a much closer view, but that may simply be my 67-year old memory taking over.

Always possible the same photo could have been reused in another publication or perhaps another photographer snapped from an alternate angle. Although, I'll take 99% accurate. Glad to help! I enjoy doing research like this.
