I realized after the last Rocket City Trash Pandas game that I miss the pre-game playlist from the Huntsville Stars games. Every game was preceded by "Willie, Mickey & The Duke (Talkin' Baseball)", "Centerfield" by John Fogerty and "Time is Tight" by Booker T & the MGs. Now, the pre-game is mostly noise and commercials. I get that times change, but the constant noise over the P.A. system at a minor league ball game goes directly against my attempt to relax. It is similar with modern announcing in that there seems to be a need to fill every silence with inane chatter. There is a time to just lay out and and let the game breathe.
