Off-Topic Forum

I grew up on East Maui in Kula and am just sitting here crying over what is happening there. That island is my home and it's burning up. Please do all you can for Maui....and everywhere else that's on fire. But Maui is part of me and my family's history. 

I've been mostly out of pocket so I haven't seen the news in a while.  But just checked - absolutely awful. I don't have the ties that you do but I've been there a couple of times and I can't believe some of the places that I visited are just gone.  

My prayers go out to you and the people of Maui.  I hope they can contain the fires soon.

We were just there a couple months ago and loved it.  It's a beautiful place and we are saddened to see what is happening there.  Our hearts go out to everyone who is affected by this disaster.
