That was a fantastic final 4 innings! What a ton of action there. Congrats to the Astros for pulling that off.

This Game 5 is incredible. Anybody else watching?

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

Holy crap! Totally didn't know the game was still on. I went to the NASCAR race in Martinsville, VA today and after getting back home, I eventually started watching my recording of the Panthers/Buccaneers NFL game. Just stopped watching that to see that it's a 12-12 tie in the bottom of the 10th inning. These two teams are going to beat each other to death in this Series!!! WOW! Gonna finish watching this game before I get back to the NFL game now. (Time is 1:33AM EDT).

I'm glad I stuck with the MLB game for a few minutes. What a way to win the game in the bottom of the 10th inning! I surely want to see the highlights of how both teams scored so many runs in that game. Hitting is really starting to overtake pitching in this series now!!! This series has been one of the most exciting ones in several years. I knew it would be good, but this is like an All-Time Great World Series already!

Longtime Dodger fan, and gotta say, last night was HELL! So exciting, yet, so, so, deflating. I'm exhausted.

Congratulations to the Houston Astros. What a great team. What a fun World Series. Really happy for Carlos Beltran. George Springer won a big truck. Carlos Correa goes home really happy. And we all get a free taco in a couple weeks.
Somebody needs to count how many people picked the Astros before the playoffs started, when this thread originated.

Congrats to the Astros on their first WS trophy! I learned something new tonight too. I didn't know that the Astros are the 1st team to ever win a MLB League Championship in both leagues! Never even thought of that until I heard it mentioned tonight. And it only took them a dozen years b/t LCS wins. The Brewers are the only other team I can think of that switched leagues and they haven't won an LCS since 1982 when they were still in the AL. I know this b/c they lost to the Cardinals in the WS that year.
What a great series that was overall! The final game was pretty lackluster when you consider the fireworks of the first 6 games (esp. Games 2-5), but this was the most action-packed Series in a long time. Even though 3 of the last 4 WS's went to 7 games, I don't think any of those were as exciting as this one was.
Both of these teams will be a factor next season too! The other 28 teams really need to step it up to compete with those two. We all know that half those teams can be marked off for a 2018 playoff run, but which 14? We'll know by July which teams still have a shot. As much as I'd like to see Houston and LAD face off in the WS again next year, I think some team will eliminate one of them in the PO's in 2018.
Oh, @David (switzr1) - you missed the free taco. It was today (well, yesterday now). The promo was for a free Doritos Loco taco on Nov. 1 from 2-6pm. I missed out too, but it wasn't b/c I didn't know. There isn't a Taco Bell within a 20-minute drive (one-way) from my house and I don't leave for work until 7pm on Wednesdays. I wasn't running into town just to pick up a $1 taco that would have cost me about a gallon of gas to get there. Plus, I've had one before and I don't think it's anything special. The extra flavor on the shell doesn't really change much from a regular taco. Besides, when I go to a Taco Bell, it's not for the tacos anyway!

Houston Astros, World Series Champs. A very nice ring to that.
