So this summer I am taking the family to Ontario to see Marineland and the big amusement park (cant think of name off hand) and because of location its both easier and shorter to go via USA. I am not sure the route we plan to take but the wife wants to see the falls as well so that will be a factor deciding. Long story short, is there any of you yahoos along the way or at the final destination? Would be interesting to possibly meet some of you if we are rumbling by or only a short distance apart. I also hope to shop for cards and supplies as I will be able to negate the shitting errrrr I mean shipping. Especially on those crad libraries!! Be worth my time to buy five while I am down there!!!!!!

Would love to meet up with you in Buffalo/Niagra area. I thought Marineland was the name of the amusement park. You didn't mention the Hall in your itinerary.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Wow lezasmith...welcom to the site, the best trading card site around! Oh ya and SPAM reported.
I'm about an hour from Niagara. Who knows! Maybe!
Coming up through Ontario crossing the border at Detroit/Windsor would be your quickest option, assuming you are travelling south of Lake Michigan. If you come in through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan crossing at Sarnia would be fastest, and the falls are pretty much right next to Marineland!

Have not researched yet as we need to see how much we can save up. That is the key to even going, 2 weeks off work when self-emplyed sucks!! LOL Will be doing some Lonely Planet, Trip Advisor research soon. And BTW I do work usually but got a sick 7 yo with a 101 fever, unlike a snowday, this is more of a snotday for me. =D

The park you may be thinking of is Canada's Wonderland. I went there a few times as a child. It was so much fun when I was a kid, but that was 25-30 years ago. The park is closer to Toronto, and Marineland is closer to the border. Toronto is just less than two hours from Buffalo. If in Toronto, C2Cigars makes a great point about the Hockey Hall of Fame!
If going to the falls, the Canadian side is much nicer, a better view, and there is more to do than the American side. I am about 30-35 minutes from the falls and was planning on trying to take my kids up there myself this summer. If I can align the stars, I wouldn't mind trying to get up there the same day and maybe saying a hello.
Also, if you are near Buffalo or want to make the short trip to Buffalo (especially if in Fort Erie, which is where Marineland is, I believe you are only about 40 minutes from Buffalo), you can always try to make the trip to the new Dave and Adam's Superstore. There are 3 Dave and Adam's locations, but the new Superstore is probably where you want to go. If I can swing it, wouldn't mind meeting up with you there for a hello and maybe a lunch or something. Just let me know your plans!
Oh and if it is early summer, the hockey playoffs will be going on. So you can always come to Buffalo and watch the Sabres on the golf course, since they have no clue what the playoffs look like anymore. Lol, sorry, couldn't withold my frustration with the team!

If you visit the new Dave & Adam's Superstore, it's about two blocks from where I stay. Hope everything works out.

Be careful in Buffalo. That's where William McKinley got shot (which is exactly why I need to go there!)

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

That sounds awesome, would love to meet some of you guys for sure. Maybe David can fly up/over/down(?) in his fancy private hot air balloon. =)
We are taking the camper on our trip, likely just the three of us, JR will be eight, the daughter is not speaking with us much again right now so who knows where that will be by then. =/ We have a 31 ft tow behind with a nice slideout (and a not so nice payment - wife bought it not me lol) so we are planning our route based on Wal-Mart of all the stupid things. Free overnight parking, and McDs for breakfast (kidding / not kidding) We want to stay at a campground there that would be within striking distance of all that you have mentioned pretty much, Marieland, and yes Wonderland, Niagra Falls (CDN side) and Buffalo possibly. Don't think TO is in the budget and towing a big camper through all that traffic not my thing, I am a praire kid remember. Dave and Adam's I would die to goto and of course a few tourist traps but if we could find a campground with swimming and mini golf etc that would be perfect.

Well, last time I was in Canada, they didn't throw me out, but the US border guard didn't seem to want to let me back in!
I would probably need a hot air balloon. That's a pretty long trek for me!
