Back to seats for a baseball game...
For my local Rookie A Level Appy League team, box seats behind home plate are my favorite and easily affordable. For the bleachers outside of the grandstand, I like 3B line for 2 reasons: #1 the hometeam dugout is there, #2 the sun is at your back in the evening. Early afternoon games are a wash there and you probably want to be in the grandstands with a roof blocking the sun.
As for the Pro's, I went with low-level outfield seats (8th and 4th rows from the field) for both games I've attended. They are tremendously cheaper and you still get a great view. Somehow, with no planning for it, I ended up on the opposite side of the outfield from the scoreboard for both games. Being able to see the whole field and a quick glance to one side for the scoreboard is very helpful out there. For those that don't know yet, my only 2 MLB games were in Cleveland in 2005 and in STL in 2013. It's funny to me how the home team's bullpen is on the opposite side for those 2 teams, as is the scoreboard! Right field in CLE is over the opponent's bullpen with the scoreboard over left field. It's the exact opposite in STL. Someday, I'll get back to both of those stadiums to see another game there!
