I'm deeply saddened with the passing of "Bobby Joe" Reid who was instrumental in me becoming a Rockets fan back in 1977 when I moved to Houston. Hardly anyone attended games then so the view was up close and it was a pleasure to see Reid streak downcourt on a steal maneuvering past an opponent for a dramatic slam dunk and rile up the small crowd.
Rest in peace, Mr. Reid, and thanks for the memories.
