As someone who was born in 2000 (a year after “No Goal”) I had a huge opportunity to grew up watching the Sabres and listening to his calls, RJ will be missed deeply. As a kid, I had the chance of meeting him with Pat Lafontaine and was able to get an autograph from him. During the time of the Sabres 90s-2000s dynasty, he had some of the best calls that their was, some even being before 1990 (some of those are listed below). He was the voice of the Sabres and had impacts on a lot of people. RJ was always a community guy who did a lot of things in the community and helped out others. RJ, you will be missed
