Here is the regular issue of the card:
https://www.tcdb.com/ViewCard.cfm/sid/108188/cid/8296055/1988-Star-Platinum-49-Don-Mattingly
The image is a reverse negative error. However, there was a version of the card printed with the corrected negative. Here is information from the person I got the card from:
From the research I’ve done, the card was printed as a corrected version of the reverse negative error in the regular set. It was produced and and distributed as a single to the major Star dealers from the time, which is why the finish is a little different. I was also told the total print run was likely less than 50.
What is the proper way this corrected card should be added into the database? I'm not sure that it should be added as a variation of the regular issue given that it was not issued in corrected set form, rather as a separate single. Would it be considered a single promo?
For the regular issue card, should the reverse negative be noted as a corrected error? Uncorrected error since it was not corrected as part of an issued set?
Thanks for any guidance!
