Dan, I tried to move this forum but couldn't seem to find a way to do it. Is that a L8 permission?

In addition, why are the first 270 cards listed as variations, rather than a partial parallel set, like these two 2007 Upper Deck football sets found here and here?

I'm of the opinion that they should be listed as a separate partial parallel set, much like the 1991 Upper Deck cards that had the 1990 and 1992 holograms mixed in, or the two examples I linked above. Is there a reason they aren't?

These may have been added before we had the bright idea of doing it another way. It probably started by one person wanting to get their variation listed and didn't ask, think, or care what would be best for the site.

That would probably be best in this case, and it would take a while to get it right. Steps needed:

1. Create partial parallel set
2. Add checklist
3. Write an IR for each card that needs to have images  and/or collection info moved to parallel set
4. Propose image/collection transfers (wait for L8 approvals)
5. Write an IR to delete each card from base set checklist
6. Propose deletion of cards (wait for L8 approvals)

That's all it takes. 

I would offer to jump on this, but can't do it at work and won't be home until late tonight. I'll keep an eye on the IR, and if no one has started the process by tomorrow evening I'll get the ball rolling.

I wonder if Admin would have a more magical way of doing it. Even if it was to copy the partial checklist it would help but the transfer of the images and collection info is also a huge task if done one card at a time.

Is it possible to make a parallel copy of the set with all the same collection info and images, rename it to "...Diamond Hologram Parallel", and then delete from both sets the cards not applicable. Just an idea worth investigating to see if it would be easier.  Thoughts?

Sorry, should have been clearer Dan - I meant that I'll keep an eye on the IR tomorrow and if I don't see the reports needed to move the cards and information over begin to roll in, I'll start that process then. Unless Bruno is on to something with his idea above...?

Think about the IR steps needed to do what you have proposed, and let me know which is less steps.

If L8s do the work, the steps will probably be about the same.   I was hoping Admin might be able to do it behind the scenes.
