What is the difference between the 80 and 110 sets?

Sandyrusty has some from the 80 set in his collection. Would it be feasible for you to check whether yours are glossy, Bruno? ------------------------------- I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.

I can finally answer this question after getting a card from the 110 set. The 80 card set is glossy (front and back), the 110 set is not. The Star logo is different between each. The 80 card (glossy) set has a thin black outline on the logo and the 110 (non-glossy) set has a thicker black outline on the logo. I can't tell by the scans on the site if the correct scans are used for each set. I can post a pic of the logo difference later.

But you also have to consider how they were released; I see now they were box sets (emphasis on "set"). These weren't packs, an 80-card box set was released then a 110-card box set was released. If combined then the owners of the complete 80-card box sets will not be able to catalogue a complete set, even though they own a complete 80-card box set.

This information needs to be put in the Release Notes of each set.

Now as I put, I only have 1 card from the 110. The colors are off in comparison but I did not use that as my "difference" example because it could just be that one card is like that and others aren't. I tried different angles to see if my camera would pick up the gloss difference, but sadly it didn't work out.
