I just purchased a lot of Coca-Cola Blackhawks Hockey cards. How does one tell the difference by year for these cards? I can see the scans for some of the cards on TCDB. Just trying to ensure I have the right year.

Trying to acquire one card for every for every set, insert, parralle, minor, euro, team issue, oddball etc sets produced for Hockey. Been an interesting project.

I don't see anything on them that identifies the year, but the uploaded images seem to match what others on ebay have. It looks like this 1989-90 one may have been distributed as four non-perforated sheets according to B*ckett?

I've got like three of them for my Wayne Presley collection, but if not for the photos being slightly different, I wouldn't know how to tell which year they represented.
The only way I can tell the 88-89 from 89-90 is that the later set has a white border around the photos, instead of them going to the edge.

Mark so funny to see this as I'm in the process of trying to figure this out as well. Some of these sets were distributed as a booklet with non-perforated pages of 4. Here's an example. If you search this on e-bay a bunch of years come up. I need the 89-90 coke Wilson and have been stymied finding it. A member on here pointed me in this direction.

Always looking for Blackhawk hockey, Notre Dame Football, White Sox and Bears Stuff. I have a plaque in my card room that says, "I could have been a millionaire but my mom threw out my baseball cards". How apropos!!! Collecting Chicago Blackhawks Hockey, Doug Wilson Hockey, Chicago Bears Older, Notre Dame Football in their college jerseys and Chicago White Sox.

Found this, a bit blurry but you can match up the faces, 1986-87 set.
Starting from the bottom right (moving to the left) - E. Olczyk , D. Savard, W. Presley, B. Wilson, D. Sutter, R. Patterson
2nd from bottom row (R to L) - K. Brown, A. Secord, J. O'Callahan, T. Murray, D. Wilson, D. Manson
3rd row from bottom (R to L) - S. Ludzik, R. Preston, S. Larmer, B. Murray, M. Bannerman, M. Stapleton
Top row (again R to L) - D. Donnelly, M. Bergevin, B. Sauve, B. Watson, G. Nylund, C. Fraser

Before 87-88 season the Hawks made a big trade with Toronto (Exit Eddie O., Al Secord - say hello B. McGill, R. Vaive & S. Thomas).
This one seems a bit easier on the eyes ... but if need a rundown of who's who let me know.

I was curious about that. I saw some of the "Blackhawks Photo Albums" when I was scouring eBay but wasn't sure if that was the only way those years were distributed, or if they were also available as individual cards.

88-89 Coaches wearing suits, players all in white jerseys. This picture is clear, but not all cards shown.
