1989 Topps Baseball Forum

I recently opened a bunch of packs and noticed that some cards have a faded back.  Is this considered a defect?  Should I put them aside with my gum stain and wax stain cards?  If someone received these cards in a trade, would they be upset?  I have a photo but can't figure out how to insert it.

If the backs are unreadable, yes, they're defective. Just like if someone had left them in the sun

I have hundreds, if not thousands of 1989 Topps cards. The y came out of the packs back then with the varying levels of ink used on the reverse. It's prtty normal for the backs to vary in intensity. Knowing how they came out of packs, I wouldn't be upset if those were cards I received in a trade and wouldn't consider them "defects". Just ink level variances.
