2000 Dunkin Bubblegum NBA All-Stars Basketball Forum

Saw this set in the gallery, which I have never heard of before. Where did it come from? It's definitely NOT from 2000 as there are photos in the set from at least 2007. The Jerry Stackhouse card also depicts Chucky Atkins. Dale Davis's #32 has been removed from his jersey for some reason. I'm guessing this was not licensed. Not to brag but I have not been this stumped by an NBA set in years.

Was curious about it myself. All I could find in a search was something about a dunkin donuts in Kent, OH, and dunkin entering the market in Turkey, the country. Maybe that's where they came from. Hopefully hphillps will chime in since he uploaded all of it.

I have no idea where the set uploader got the Turkey Kent part. The logo is for Dunkin Bubble Gum. Produced in Spain and sold throughout Europe. Known for their stickers.

The different uniforms for the two Pacers and the two Jazz players are odd.  These are definitely the 24 players from the 2000 All Star Game, though.  I checked the box score for that game and all the names match.

The Stockton image is from 1995-96 or older, they debuted the jerseys Karl Malone wears in 1996-97 and were current in 2000. The jersey Dale Davis wears was last used in 1996-97.

The jersey Jason Kidd is wearing debuted in 2001-02, but he didn't wear it until 2008, when he was traded back to the Mavericks from the Nets. (He played with the Mavs in 1994-96, as well). In 1999-00 he was with the Suns also. I realized something was strange when I saw Ray Allen's card, which has the 2001-02 only flag ribbon, the NBA's remembrance of 9/11. As soon as I saw that I knew the set was issued later than 2000, and then when I saw the jersey Kidd was wearing, I knew it was significantly later. Kidd's second Mavericks stint lasted from 2008-12, including the 2011 NBA Championship. I suspect the set may have been issued in that time.

Found some more info. Turkey and Kent should not be in the title. Kent was a bubblegum manufacturer in Turkey. Some online sellers from Europe have them incorrectly identified as being from Kent bubblegum. The Dunkin Bubblegum logo on the cards make it obvious they are not Kent's.

Some guy selling them on Ebay says that they are from Spain's version of Dunkin' Donuts. I think C2Cigars is more on the mark with the gum company though.
