On the 1990 Donruss Baseball cards, how do you tell the difference between the (Pack border) and the (Factory border)?
Thanks for taking the time to read and respond.

Every card is different. You have to compare the cards to see if splatter is different. Best is if you bought an actual FS, then you know you have those. If you ripped packs, then...

They are referring to all the black speckle dots on the borders of the Card. Pull up an image of a Card and compare your Card to it. It is very time consuming but you will see the difference in the patterns of the dots.

no wonder we have some many different choices to make for that set. Who has first time to find that difference and than go through all the extras to figure that out.

Some of us found the time to create the checklist for this site. Just separate the INC with period and without period and you are halfway there. Assuming you have a bulk lot it's most likely not the factory set variations.

It is one of the more annoying sets to catalog.

Why are you trying to enter your cards? If it is to record your collection and you don't care what variation pick one variation and call it good enough. If to sell/trade you will probably need to put in the work and yes, the effort is probably worth more than what you will ever find in sales/trades for these variations. Again, if it is just log your cards for you you don't need to worry about which version you have.
