@BoredatHome - a couple things:
"Personally Id rather see the set named as its named on the box"
This is what I actually recommended while also keeping the long-time vernacular (in parentheses) so that it remains searchable. I made a suggestion that would help both long-time collectors as well as newer collectors who are not used to the terminology used by us old folks. :)
So..im still confused and think maybe got a little bit sideways on this one .....I had already seen the mentioned websites and know about the gloss finish on tiffany cards. And about if there is a * or ** or not. But what is the deal with the Traded set.... traded tiffany? Can anyone confirm that in fact the Traded Tiffany was printed in Ireland? Are the Tiffany cards in the other color boxes for these years printed in Ireland?
The Tiffany cards were printed in much lower quantites and the chances that you have one is rare. Additionally, they came in very different coxes. In fact, here is an image of the 1990 Topps Traded "Tiffany" set:
Please also note that this image is pulled from this auction on ebay and the seller calls it Tiffany in the title, and never calls it "Limited Edition Collectors "Traded" Series".
