1976 Fleer Football Patches Football Forum

I reported possible inaccuracies in this set to admin. I didn't attempt to fix them because I don't own any of these cards, but was trying to add to my Want List. If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it.

I'm currently working on this set. I uploaded the cloth patches card and I'm currently replacing images. I also made a mistake in one card name (sent a note to admin to remvove). What else did you notice? The '72 to '76 Fleer Cloth Patches are difficult sets to sort through. Fleer did not publish any official checklists and the the cards vary only slightly from year to year. I used information from "The Fleer Sticker Project" to build the checklists and confirm images.

I noticed the match-ups weren't right with helmet and label on some. Do you know if some logos and helmets were the same because I thought that may have been an inaccuracy. For example, I believe the Rams logo and helmet cards are the same, but Cowboys logo and helmet cards are distinct.

Each of the Fleer Patch sets ('72 - '76) contained two cards of each; one helmet card and one logo card. The inaccuracies you saw were my fault. I uploaded the wrong images. It was late and I think I was on my third beer. It probably wasn't the right time for me to be uploading images. I think I have them all fixed now. I'll go through one more time to and make sure.

The author provides a very detailed analysis of each set by card and by year. I never would have been able to figure out these sets without his help.
