Does anyone have the announcers checklist. I didn't even know about it last night, I've seen a few names on the list, but not a complete list.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Awesome, thanks! I wish they made more Announcer insert sets. I wish I knew about and was able to get the Steve Physioc card so I could have gotten it signed yesterday.

Pretty sure these weren't in packs, not opened any since around '93. So how was it released? Factory sets, or mail-in promotion?

According to Beckett's the cards were given to the announcers to hand out.

Handed out by the announcers? Man, that is odd. The Physioc card is on Ebay for $100 for a PSA 9, but no matter how rare it might be, I wouldn't pay that much for it.
I did see another set in another year too, but I really wish they would release sets like these for all the sports. I think a subset with Vin Scully, Bob Uecker, Denny Matthews, Mike Shannon, and others would be a nice set. I would rather have that then the same 25 retired players in a new set every year.

I would collect those. Sounds like something Topps could put into Allen and Ginter, referring to Jupiters idea for a modern set.

I'm going to reevaluate how I collect after the new year. It's just getting way too expensive for the new stuff. Sometimes I just want to buy a pack, not a whole box or even blaster.
