Several years ago in a small lot I received a Dikembe Mutombo autograph that appeared to be from this set.
After some of my, admittedly poor, searching, I was unable to find any corresponding images to the card online. As the lot also had a Scoreboard Tim Duncan "Autograph" which was fairly obviously fake I wrote the Mutombo off as also likely fake and moved on.
To my surprise a little while ago I came across an eBay auction for the card I have.
Does anyone have any further info/know anything about this card?
Inserted in packs? Promo?
Should it be listed as part of this set?

The back on the listing doesn't match the one we show for Shaq, but it does match the one for Steve Rogers.
The use of "extremely limited" seems a very poor choice to showcase a special card. I'd vote that it's not genuinely a Classic product because of that.

For what it is worth on eBay I can find the Shaq in blue ink with the same wording on the back and Mourning in black, blue and silver ink with the wording.

Even if you look at the Limited Edition and various promos you will find a level of quality control on design that I believe would have been more appropriate as a back.

I agree 100%. That does not look like a legitimate Classic back. The card was just recently added in January 2021. I think the Steve Rogers card should be removed.

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

Looking at Beckett they list two O'Neal autos and a Jimmy Jackson. No Mourning autos at all (or Rogers, or Mutombo).
Comc has a bunch of different autos with the "Extremely Limited" back — including a Jackson.
Looks like there are likely a bunch of dodgy autos out there purportedly from this set.

Found one with the questionable back that was PSA graded.
Apparently cards were meant to be signed for the National. But I didn't find anything about how they were distributed. Personally, it still looks fishy.

That generic black & white "extremely limited" back design also appears on hockey, football & their "World Class Athletes" autographs from that year. It is a legitimate Classic card design, though distribution may be the real question: pack insertion, factory set inclusion, QVC offering?

Or as PSA claims, at the National.
