2000-01 Upper Deck Encore Basketball Forum

I have what I think is a base card of this UD Encore set but it seems to have a rainbow foil to it (I'm not sure if foil is the right word or if it's refractor). The background turns a rainbow color when you move the card through the light.  The base images that have been uploaded don't seem to have this rainbow effect and I don't see any parallels. Could someone confirm for me if the regular set is a rainbow foil?

I looked at the checklist for the set on a couple sites and none of them appeared to show any parallels. However, like you mentioned, the base cards don't appear to have the foil/refractor sheen that yours does. I wonder if yours could maybe be a promo.

Encore IS rainbow foil, for all three years it was produced. It does not show up in scans, the same way Topps' Refractors or Panini's Prizms don't show up in scans.
