2023 Topps Baseball Forum

Going through my 88 reprints, I found an Ichiro numbered 52/88.  Nothing about this card appears different than

the regular one, other than the numbering (which btw, was not easy to see, just happened upon it while working on a trade).

Any insite?

It's the Real One Heritage stock parallel

That's what I thought it might be, but the card is regular paper, not cardboard and it is UV coated front and back.

Another Topps QC error I guess.

I picked up one of the numbered/88 Real Ones parallels on eBay and it was like yours...exactly the same as a regular card other than the serial number.  I believe the intent was to make them with a vintage Heritage-like stock, but I don't know if any actually were.  Anybody else who has held one of these in hand, was it actually on a matte Heritage (or even Archives)-style stock?  Trying to figure out if there are two different versions.
