Don’t buy a box of these, no matter how tempted you are.
it is a beautiful set, no doubt. I collected them when I was a kid and having recently gotten back into the hobby I wanted a trip down memory lane. The cards were so stuck it was like they were welded together. Impossible to break without damaging them. I was so demoralised after a couple of packs I put the box away.

I will say it is probably one of the worst sets to succumb to bricking. If at all tightly packed, they will become bricked in any kind of humidity.

Sorry about that. I've been able to withstand the temptation to purchase glossy product from that era. If you're interested in continuing the reentry into this wonderful hobby I suggest familiarizing yourself with the TCDB tools, establish yourself as a member, and look toward trading for that product. That's what many of us did when we joined the ranks of collecting again and ended up at TCDB.com, formerly known as Tradingcarddb.com.

I feel your pain. For me it was / is 93-94 Donruss Hockey. I've ripped , torn , twisted , bent , peeled , frozen and thrown against the wall or floor & nothing seems to work. You might get a few that come apart and think that you're onto something ... but no.

Yeap, it's hit or miss from that era. Bought a box recently of 1994 Score just to scratch the itch for $25 and after 3 packs I just threw the whole thing out. Couldn't save any cards especially the Gold Rush.

I bought a complete set and the entire thing is pretty much bricked. Luckily I was at least able to get the Jeter out cleanly but most everything else is damaged. Really sucks.

I've got a hoard of mid 90's basketball and football that I'm liquidating for a friend. All of it was in a storage unit for years. Luckily the majority of them come apart with minimal damage, but I'm learning what products are good and bad in that respect. There are many wax boxes that were opened and left in the wrappers. This might have helped some of them survive. But a couple batches are stuck solid. So glad it isn't all like that.

I'm continually entering tradeable inventory. Full want lists are at https://thecollectivemind.blogspot.com/p/baseball-wants.html Use the green tabs to navigate. Have entered 1994 thru 2021 baseball and 2009 thru 2020 football so far. Don't have many newer than 2020 except A&G in baseball, and very little beyond 2019 in football. My extra hockey is older than that. The best I have for a tradelist otherwise is https://thecollectivemind.blogspot.com/search/label/Disperse%20the%20Hoard
