1990 Score Football Forum

Greetings,

I am trying to put together these variations.  It seems as though one variation is much more common than the other.  The Butler helmet on, Sikahema helmet on and Browner looking left all seem to be more common than their variation counterparts.  Does anybody know if they were a first issue or what "run" they are from?  The other three variations (Lombardi, Buchanan and Mojsijenko) all seem to be easier to find both versions.

Anyone have any ideas?

I believe that I read in an old hobby magazine that Score corrected Mojsienko first and is the rarest of them. Butler, Browner and Sikahema were early changes (not quite 'corrections') and are much harder to find, as you have observed but not too tough.

All others were fairly evenly distributed: Cofer, Lombardi, Buchanan, Mosebar, etc.

The airbrushed Adidas logo on Edmunds' card was a very late correction and likely the final one Score made to series two.

Thanks for the reply.  TCDB doesn't show any variations/errors for Mosebar, Cofer or Edmunds.  Could you elaborate or should those be added to the database?

Im sure the usual suspects will reject them but here you go...

Cofer can be found with LINEBCKER or LINEBACKER on back

Mosebar can be found with Septen ber or September on back

Edmunds can be found with a visible Adidas logo on his sock or with it edited/airbrushed over with green (to match his sock)

There are a handful others such as the Lawrence Taylor and Derrick Thomas Crunch Crew subset cards which have two different photo croppings on front. Minor but they are from distinct printings.

Thanks for the reply. I started a new thread to see if we can get them added. The Cofer "LINEBCKER" and the Mosebar "Septen ber" errors are showing in the master checklist. Do you have any scans or other photographic evidence of the existence of both? At the very least, the Mosebar and Cofer cards should be listed as UER until photos or scans are provided.

EDIT: I have screenshots from ebay listings of the Mosebar with "September" spelled out completely and Cofer with "LINEBACKER" spelled out completely.  Can't figure out how to attach photos to this thread without using a URL. Could someone help me with that?
