Question for the group as a whole here. I ask because I truly believe I can trust everyone here when it comes to issues such as this.
I know that some cards are "blank-backed" because they are really just cut from the box bottom. However, the 1990 Topps Box Bottoms that we have uploaded here have text on the back.
I'm asking about this card. As most of you may know, I'm trying to complete the Ralf Mojsiejenko PC by the end of 2017. That being said, if this is a legitimate release, I will look for one to trade or purchase for. However, I want to be sure that I'm not getting duped. Does anyone know anything about a 1990 Topps Blank Back release? Is this a printing error? (And yes, I know printing errors wouldn't be cataloged here). Or is this just a picture of a card someone printed off and glued to some cardboard?
I think COMC is pretty reliable, but want an outside opinion. Additionally, I don't usually ask about price, but would one view $4.25 as a fair price for a 1990 blank back? Again, I really have no idea and nothing to base it off of. Any help would be truly appreciated. Thanks in advance - I'm off to have a couple of adult beverages and enjoy the beginning of Thanksgiving break!
Jason

I'll never quit collecting entirely, but I am downsizing. Check out my COMC store and help me thin out what I don't want so I can buy cards that I do want. See something you like? Send me a message on here, and we can knock the price down quite a bit. I'll even take a bit of a loss if it means getting you a card you really want.

More than likely a printing process error. I personally put no value in printing errors. But error collectors might. I see a lot of unscrupulous sellers on ebay claim these printing errors are "printing proofs".

Someday my cards may double in value and then be worth half of what I paid for them.

I have pulled blank-backed cards directly from packs (I still have my 1985 Topps Carew I pulled in one of my HOF binders) and I sold the Gooden RC on ebay several years ago. I have several other blank backs (and a few blank fronts) in our player collections. It's fairly common for cards to miss athe entire process on one side or the other.
Edit: PS - it looks legit, and I don't think COMC lists anything that isn't "real". If you reead through their requirements, they even reject "real" stuff.

Jason.....This isn't an answer to your question but.....I have an extra 1990 Topps (non-disclaimer back) Ralf Mojsiejenko. It's not blank backed or a box bottom, but its yours if you want it.

I can't speak to this set, but I entered and uploaded this set many moons ago..
http://www.tradingcarddb.com/Subsets.cfm/sid/134977
I had never seen them before as all the ones I remembered buying as a kid had text on the back, but I bought a random collection and there was this complete set blank backed with multiple, multiple extras. As mentioned before I researched and found ebay listing as a test prototype set that was under 100 copies! So rare!! Well realizing I had like 20 copies of a few of the cards this was obviously not the case. I figure their was just a load of boxes printed and released without the text on the inside of the box. So ya, it is very possible it is legit and the same as these.

Just sayin....if anybody collects blank backs, blank fronts, wrongbacks and/or fronts, crazy stuff like that---I have many unsorted boxes of them, but maybe I have that "rare" one of your collectible player. I didn't think too much about it when I put a 1990 Topps blankfront Troy Aikman on ebay to watch the bidding just ...fly ! So you never know what collectors look for. Just PM me if you have a player you collect [probably not too many top star players] to look for.

Legitimate release or printing error, either way I'd pay a few bucks to have something like that in my PC. Wait a couple days, it's probably going to be on sale this weekend.

Thanks everyone for your responses. Bob, I will send you a message later today.
Tom - I'm definitely going to wait. I'll watch it this weekend (didn't even think about that) and then if the price doesn't drop, it will become a low priority want, a card that I pick up probably last to complete the PC.
